If, The Gospel of Progress' will be the sermon subject of the Itev.Dr. Ksrl A Stein, pastor of theGrace Reformed Church, Bayard and Dlthrldg streets, at the community service In Carnegie Music Rail to. morrow evening at 8 oclock. The Rev. Dr, T.

E. Miller, of the First Baptist Church, will have charge This will mark the eighth of the Sunday evening services In which churches of the East End are uniting during the summer. The musical program will be pro Vlded by Earl Mitchell, organist, and a male quartet consisting of Eugene Baldridge, tenor; Roy Stray, er, tenor; Donald Belts, baritone, and Julius Uuehn, buss. spiritual training of the child, a training which constitutes tlie only real safeguard against the seductive and destructive forces of 6in. The Church, too, has a message for the man who today stands in the prime of life, a period when the treasures and pleasures of this world loom large; a time when, in the made race for position and social standing, he is tempted to forget the Lord his God.

This message to all who are thus tempted is none other than the great heart appeal of Christ, Wbat shall it profit a man, though he gain the whole world and lose his own soul? And when at last we come to that place in tlie journey of life, when earthly hopes are beginning to wear thin and burn dim; when there is little more to be done but wait for tlie curtain to be rung down, then happy the man whose ears through tlie years have not been closed to the salute of the churches of Christ. For we know that if the earthly house of our tabernacle be dissolved, we have a building from God, a bouse not made with bands, eternal in the heavens. With this divine truth and a sincere invitation to all of our citizens to worship tlie Lord in the beauty of holiness, all tlie churches of Pittsburgh salute you. HOLL THE clergy and members of tlie Church sincerely appreciate the kindly interest and fine co operation of that group of public spirited citizens whose names are listed on this page, and who, through the medium of the press, are helping to bring the Church to the attention of the people of tliis great city. Through their weekly appeal they are actually tajing to the citizens of Pittsburgh what St.

Paul, the great missionary of tlie Cross, said to the people of Rome, All the churches of Christ salute you. The Church is the true friend of the youth of our city. Being fully conscious of the fact that the young people of today will constitute tlie Church and State of tomorrow, she affectionately brings tlie Saviours salute and invitation to every father and mother, saying Suf- fer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven. Truly the city offers many and great advantages to her children, but let no home he blind to tlie snares, pitfalls and temptations which likewise abound, and which, like a killing frost, have destroyed many a tender and promising plant. Therefore, the Churches of Pittsburgh salute the homes of our city, soliciting their co-operation in the DE PAUL PLEA vl il hrffs 'ft a '4 yy rriAA J.
