Please sign the guest book KOHMAN ROBERT "BOB" NICHOLLS Age 80, passed into eternal life on Tuesday, December 24th, 2002 at his lifelong home and in the presence of loved ones. He was born in Pittsburgh on December 26, 1921. Bob was a graduate of Yale University. He served as a naval officer during World War 1 1, and also served in the Merchant Marines. After serving honorably in the military, he returned home to run the family business.

Bob was an advocate for many charitable causes, and gave most generously. He loved the opera, dining out, gardening and spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted dog owner, training and caring for them with the utmost love. Bob is survived by his beloved golden retriever and constant companion, Tyler; one sister, Betty Lutz of Tucson, AZ; one nephew David Lutz also of Tucson, AZ; three nieces, Janet (Tom) Peard of Lawer-ence, KS, Nancy (Mark) Nebgen of Rhinelander, Wl and Linda (Paul) Patterson of Port Clinton, OH; one great-neice, Bailey; two great nephews, Benjamin and Geoffrey, cousins and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Henry A.

Larotonda, 88, of Bellevue, died Friday, December 27, 2002, at his residence, after an extended illness. Municipal Authority in 1978 and was previously employed by the Joseph Home Pittsburgh. She was a member of the Beaver United Methodist Church. Roy was an Engineer at the Naval Academy in Annapolis. He served with the Navy on the USS Independence during the Vietnam War. Born April 12, 1930 in Camaguey Cuba where he completed his elementary, secondary, and undergraduate education in 1950. Between 1950 and 1959 he studied Medicine at the University of Havana receiving his doctorate in 1959. After two years of postgraduate medical education in Havana, he came to the United States in 1962, where he completed his pathology training in Cleveland, OH and Memphis, TN. Between 1967-1969 he was fellow in Neuropathology at Case Western Reserve University.

He then served one year as an Assistant Professor of Pathology at the Medical College of Virginia, followed by a two-year appointment as Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee before returning to Virginia in 1972. In 1976 he was appointed Associate Professor of Pathology and Staff Neuropathologist at Presbyterian University Hospital and five years later appointed full Professor. He had a long, industrious and influential professional and personal life receiving numerous awards including; Physicians Recognition Award from the American Medical Association, member of the board of directors for the Pittsburgh Council for International Visitors, the Journal of American Medical Association Physician Recognition Award, and named one of the 100 most influential Hispanics in the United States. He had published 185 scientific articles in the course of his professional career and attended numerous national and international meetings. His scientific expertise covered the entire gamut of Neurological Disease with a particular focus in Infection of the brain by free-living amoeba.

A devoted clinician-educator who earned the respect and admiration of all of his students. He is survived by his beloved wife Josephine, daughters Killeen and Mary of Pittsburgh, PA, and Bridget and her husband Juan Louis Sancho and their children Juan and Catherine Elizabeth.
