She is survived by her parents, Jake and Donna Hidinger; beloved wife of Robert loving mother of Michael and Sara (Mary); granddaughter of Twila Shankle; sister of Susan (Gary) Hudak, Shari (Jed) Schrecengost, and Chris (Jean) Hidinger; Godmother of Joseph Hudak; also many much-loved nieces and nephews, and her devoted dog, Lou.

A consummate caretaker, Cynthia graduated the Indiana Hospital School of Nursing, and served as a registered nurse at Magee Women's Hospital for 15 years. Cindy loved the beach, and collecting treasures such as antique books. She also loved nurturing her family and her dogs, and was inarguably the world's greatest cook. She possessed an undying optimism, a love of adventure, and the heart of a fighter. She had uncommon resilience, which is a legacy of inspiration to all who knew her.

VanKirk with whom she has shared 27 years of marriage. Surviving, in addition to her husband and parents, are a daughter, Miranda Lynn VanKirk of Scenery Hill; sister, Yvonne K. Plute (Martin) of Scenery Hill; and two nieces, Carli Lynn Plute and Kelsey Marie Plute.
